Paladin International, LLC offers firearm instruction courses for every level of shooter. From teaching the novice the basics of pistol handling to fine tuning the skills of those with more experience, our classes will suit a wide range of students. We also teach executive and travel awareness, firearms safety and non-lethal defense:
First Steps:
Our NRA certified “First Steps” course is a NRA training program for hands-on orientation to a specific pistol. It can be completed in as little as three hours and includes one hour shooting on a range.
Basic Pistol:
Our NRA certified Basic Pistol course is offered in a classroom environment or in your home with practical shooting taking place at a nearby indoor range. Participants develop comprehensive firearm safety skills in addition to an understanding of the workings of firearms, calibers, types of firearms and their uses, how to clean and store firearms and solid shooting fundamentals. Included in the course is the opportunity to earn the Basic Handgun Qualification patch, the first in a series of marksmanship qualifications programs available through the NRA.
The Basic course is perfect for novice shooters or family members who are around firearms in the home. We also offer safety equipment and firearm rentals, personalized pistol fittings, and even realistic “dummy” pistols for those new to sport shooting and who may not initially be comfortable firing the real thing.
Paladin’s NRA Basic Pistol Certification will qualify you to apply for a concealed weapon permit (CWP) in the State of Colorado.
Advanced Courses:
Advanced level courses are conducted at a private shooting range on the plains of Colorado where we offer a combination of paper and metal targets for enhanced learning and enjoyment. This instruction is some of the finest personalized instruction available and includes techniques such as draw and fire, multiple targets, multiple firing (“double tap), firing from concealment and many other advanced skills.
Instructors:
All of our instructors are either current or former members of the US Army’s Special Forces (Green Berets), international Special Operations personnel or SWAT trained Law Enforcement officers, with years of instruction experience. You will find them to be friendly, knowledgeable and focused on you to create a positive experience in a user friendly environment.
Handgun Fitting Services:
Paladin offers a unique firearm fitting service. For those who do not already own their own pistol, or for those who are looking to trade-in their existing firearm, we offer guidance on sizing, caliber, makes and models that will help you to make an informed decision on which handgun is right for you. Paladin will also work with you through our associations with firearm dealers to help you find your firearm at the best possible price.
Non-Lethal Defense Training:
If you are interested in learning the basics of awareness and self defense in a hands-on low impact setting this is the class for you. Paladin offers a distinctive personal protection course that not only teaches you how to assess and avoid potentially dangerous situations, but what to do when you have no alternative. In these situations, we will teach you how to reduce your risk of injury, defend yourself and move to safety. In addition, we explain and demonstrate the use of alternative defense measures such as mace and tasers as well as other mechanical and electronic devices that provide personal safety, barriers to entry or alarm signals whether in your home or on the road.
As with our pistol courses, all of our instructors are either current or former members of the US Army’s Special Forces (Green Berets), international Special Operations personnel or SWAT trained Law Enforcement officers, with years of experience. They make the course interesting, fun and “non-threatening” to women, seniors or younger persons. We find that families enjoy this course as it is suitable for men, women, teens and even children.
Travel Security:
Paladin’s unique Travel Security course will teach students what can go wrong when traveling, how to spot threats, how to reduce the chance of problems and practical tips on making your travel safer and more efficient. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, Paladin has taught this interesting and practical course to many individuals, families and organizations. You will find it informative, humorous at times and well worth your while whether you travel to a vacation spot once a year, are a frequent flyer or have a destination that may carry above average risks. |
